Reel Women supports the Austin film community by providing information and resources to members and non-members who are looking to be a part of the community or who are already active participants. Reel Women meetings are held monthly (except December). Speakers from all aspects of film and video making show and discuss their work. The weekly "Updates" newsletters is a one-way moderated email list. It is filled with information submissions from Reel Women members and the film community, including special screenings and crew and casting calls. The Reel Women Crew Book and Casting Book are available to local and visiting film compaies. Anyone is welcome to submit a resume or headshot for inclusion in this valuable local resource. Reel Women is also in the process of making a resources library available, starting with videos of workshops and meetings.
