MEMBERSHIP:

Membership is open to all interested parties and is not limited to females. About 20% of our members are male! We call them "a few reel men."

Membership dues allow us to pay the expenses of maintaining our office (rent, utilities, telephone, Internet, postage, copies, supplies, equipment, wages, etc.), as well as for fees associated with meeting space, special events and our Production Group.

Membership is $35/year, $25 for students (must show current I.D.).

MEMBER BENEFITS:

  • Weekly e-mail newsletter "Updates" listing Reel Women events, film/arts/theatre events, community events, women's events, casting and crew calls, etc.
  • Discounted or free admission to sponsored screenings and events (such as SXSW, AFF, etc.).
  • Mentoring by Reel Women Board Members and other industry professionals.
  • Discounted monthly workshops taught by local industry professionals.
  • Hands-on training in the Reel Women Production Group. (In keeping with our mission, this benefit is only offered for female members.)
  • Membership card and directory.
  • Listing in the Reel Women Crew Book and/or Casting Book.
  • Opportunities to serve on committees. Current committees include: Fundraising, Education, Special Events and Membership.
  • Discounted equipment rental fees (including our friends at MoPac Media, and Media Toolbox).

MEMBERSHIP APPLICATION

NEW! Reel Women is accepting membership dues and workshop fees through PayPal. If you have or would like to create a PayPal account, you can pay online (membership is $37, $35 for annual membership dues plus a $2.00 web-processing fee to defer the costs of using PayPal). Or you can mail or bring cash or check to our monthly meetings and pay in person. Either way, please be sure to fill out the membership application.

 

REEL WOMEN T-SHIRTS ARE AVAILABLE

Have you seen some members sporting Reel Women T-Shirts and wondered where you can one? Show your support by wearing Reel Women attire. We have woman's-cut t-shirts in red or white with the Reel Women logo printed in black on the front.
